$5000 SIGN ON BONUS

Reporting Location: High Springs, FL

Pay: $38.00 / Hour

Shift Differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours worked

Sign on bonus: $5000 payable in two installments ($2500 after 90 days of employment and $2500 after 180 days of employment)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:45 am - 3:15 pm, 1st Shift, Full-Time

Overview

This role supports Factory needs in regard to all electrical/mechanical, PLC control equipment, R and D Projects, and Electrical Control Systems to achieve plan and improve on process efficiency and performance. Support and actively manage troubleshooting and preventative maintenance program to maximize equipment availability, reduce unplanned stoppages, reduce energy, and water usage.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose cause of electronic or mechanical malfunctions using knowledge, manuals, SOPs, specifications, and other workplace aids

• PLC Control programmer will program and modify new and existing PLC programs

• Resolves and repairs all system faults and anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance, and connectivity problems, including changes, adjustments, and modifications to control code and standard operating parameters

• Writes and debug PLC Logic and makes recommendations for major corrective actions

• Troubleshoot problems dealing with plant instrumentation and automation equipment to include but not limited to valves; pressure; temperature; level, flow, conductivity, speed, force instruments; motor controls; PLC's, HMI's, etc.

• Obtain drawings, instructional manuals, and special procedures, as needed, from files or other sources. Make any additional sketches, diagrams, etc., as necessary

• Development of applications using Human Machine Interfaces

• Ability to integrate PLC-based code into information gathering systems

• Working Knowledge of Ethernet/Device Net/DH+/ControlNet/Remote I/O Systems

• Perform maintenance tasks to include - repairing, planning, coordinating, and improving, from minor rebuilds to major overhauls on all equipment

• Identify processing waste reduction opportunities and manage waste reduction projects

• Communicate, coach and train employees to continuously improve the team's ability to respond to equipment failures and loss of production

• Areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to: Production support, Mechanical Room, Water Processing, Boiler Room, Wastewater Treatment, Water Chemical Treatment Program, and other duties as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

  • Five or more years proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Intermediate working knowledge level of PLC programming and automation

  • Prior experience with high- and low-pressure compressors, chillers, water treatment, boilers is required

  • Strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical systems, hydraulics and water processing

  • Must be self-managed and efficient when performing work unsupervised

  • Proficient computer navigation skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications

  • Available for call-ins or to cover all shifts to support production teams as required

  • Be able to work flexible schedule as determined by business needs

  • Must be able to foster and build a team

  • Must be willing and able to train other mechanics; ability to adapt to other's learning styles is imperative

  • Develop and prepare necessary reports, and maintain daily documentation

  • Must be able to do physical inspections, (i.e. climbing, reaching, extending)
