Job Description

Director Trade Marketing

The Trade Marketing Director will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of instore retail marketing strategies and programs across the BlueTriton Brands. This role is responsible for bringing brand strategy to life instore and has overall leadership for delivering best in class plans to the sales team and customers that drives conversion thru shopper messaging, promotional plans, and innovative in store elements. Deep understanding of the nuances of the retail environment, experience in building trade marketing plans that have generated in market results and the ability to create an optimized investment strategy are a must.

Primary responsibilities:

• Develop the trade marketing strategy and retail communication plans for Blue Triton across all brands and execute in-store retail programs based on business goals, priorities and opportunities that meet retailer needs.

• Partner with brand team, sales and finance to plan activities and events grounded in deep understanding of the shopper and retailer needs to drive conversion to meet established performance metrics. strategies that bridge the gap between brand promotion and consumer purchasing decisions.

• Develop programs to provide 360 support for sales initiatives including coupons, displays, instore signage, retail media and retail events. Work with marketing and sales to ensure consistent messaging and a unified brand experience across all channels.

• Continuously monitor campaign performance. Evaluate program efficacy on an ongoing basis and provide optimization recommendations, measure ROI and optimize strategies based on data driven learnings.

• Work with insights team to develop a data backed understanding of shopper journey, trends and behaviors to drive useful insights on the right levers to deploy in the right channels at the right times.

• Cross functional collaboration with eComm sales team, ready refresh and marketing media lead to balance retail media against national paid media plans and eComm media.

• Drive agency performance with clear expectations of support, and jobs to be done to ensure the optimal programs are being created and full suite of tools are available on time on specification.

• Inspire a high performing trade marketing team fostering a culture of cross department collaboration, creativity, and a passion to succeed and effective execution of trade marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• 7-10 years sales and or brand marketing experience with at least 5 years of experience in shopper/trade marketing

• Budget and agency management experience

• Experience in digital retail media networks (ex Walmart media group, roundel cretio etc) is a must

• At least 3 years of managing and developing a team of 3+ direct reports
